Summer Day Camp Program:
An innovative and exciting summer day camp which
combines art and architecture. Our schedule gives kids a diverse program with an excellent blend of time spent outdoors exploring
exciting destinations in the city and studio time, creating and working on their own projects. Our program utilizes the tremendous
urban resources from which children learn and develop their projects.
Our day camp provides an opportunity for
kids to express themselves creatively while developing new skills and experiencing new challenges. The combination of art
and architecture as the core of our program, and the experienced artists/architects instructors make our day camp unique.
TYPICAL DAY
ArtVentures! typical day starts at the studio with a drawing session followed by the presentation
of a specific art or architectural project for the day. The group then embarks on a field trip to:
- Draw and paint
outdoors; Central park, Battery Park City Marina, Hudson River Park... - Explore, sketch and study
a historical building, a church, a bridge: Brooklyn Bridge, St. John the Divine…

Visit and draw at a museum: Moma, Met, MAD, Cooper Hewitt, Moving Image, Noguchi...
At the studio, kids
develop and finish their own project. Each class includes a hands-on activity, to develop 2-D and 3-D visualization and craftsmanship
skills. Projects are executed both independently and collaboratively. At the end of the program, campers bring home a substantial
portfolio along with a sketchbook.
Choice time: Clay, origami, art videos…
STAFF
ArtVentures!
staff is carefully chosen for their maturity, energy and experience with children. Counselors are college students drawn from
prestigious art/architecture institutions such as Cornell University and Cooper Union. Art instructors are practicing artists/architects
leading Wet Paint! Art Studio.
GROUP SIZE
Our group is small in size for a generous kid/teacher ratio.
LUNCH
ArtVentures! will provide healthy snacks and beverages. Camper must bring own lunch.

August Session:
Two-Week Fee; July 30 - August 10: $ 1,670 One week enrollment upon availability. Monday to Friday
